THE ULTIMATE STUDENT ESSENTIALS BOX
Almonds

Almonds

All nuts are packed with vitamins, minerals, protein and fibre, which support a healthy body and mind. Almonds contain riboflavin and L-carnitine, which are excellent brain-boosters, superb at promoting neurological activity and preventing cognitive decline. Plus they’re an ideal grab-and-go food if you wake up five minutes before a lecture’s due to start!

Dates

Dates

These naturally sweet powerhouses of fibre and healthy carbohydrates are a great way to boost any flagging student’s energy levels. Dates are cheap, last for ages and are a great alternative to sugar in all sorts of desserts, as well as porridge and smoothies.

Muesli

Muesli

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and a good mix of nuts, seeds, grains and dried fruit will set you up superbly until lunchtime. Muesli provides slow-release energy, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, which work together to regulate body and mind for peak performance. It typically contains far less sugar than the vast majority of supermarket breakfast cereals.

You can also select your own ingredients and make your own!

Coffee

Coffee

Coffee will always be a student staple, whether it’s for fully waking up in the morning, socialising with friends or staying up late with that overdue essay.

As well as its well-known concentration-boosting effects, there’s increasing evidence it has excellent anti-diabetes, anti-cancer and anti-depression properties.

Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter

What student wouldn’t feel thrilled to receive a one kilo tub of nut butter? It’s absolutely delicious on toast, in porridge and smoothies, or simply eaten on its own with a spoon. A hearty, healthy mixture of protein, carbohydrate and beneficial fats, peanut butter is the most well-known and popular nut butter, but there are hundreds of varieties to explore and enjoy, including several nut-free versions!

Baked Beans

Baked Beans

No student’s kitchen cupboard would be complete without at least one tin of baked beans – as a cupboard standby they’re essential and can be heated quickly for a nutritious meal on their own.

We have plenty of varieties without the dizzying amounts of added sugar and salt you usually find, and remember, they’re tastiest if you make your own!

Rice

Rice

Rice has been keeping students going, cheaply, for thousands of years! One of the best sources of carbohydrate and protein, it’s simple to prepare and fills you up.

Brown rice is the healthier option, as it still contains the husk, bran and germ. These are packed with fibre, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

All that’s needed to make a great meal with rice are a few veggies and a liberal dash of…

Chilli Sauce

Chilli Sauce

Much-loved in student circles for its ability to make the blandest food worth eating, chilli sauce is an absolute must to see anyone through college.

Chillies are full of vitamins A, B6 and C, as well as potassium and copper, which keeps the brain’s neurons firing away admirably, all the better to store all that information!

Tomato Ketchup

Tomato Ketchup

Another time-tested student staple. Cooked tomatoes, the main ingredient in tomato ketchup, contain greatly higher levels of lycopene than raw tomatoes. Lycopene is one of the most powerful antioxidants there is, and as well as being excellent for your heart, liver and eyes, it’s excellent for the brain cells, protecting them and guarding against damage.

Ketchup‘s also really, really great on chips. Try and choose one with reduced sugar!

Toothpaste

Toothpaste

After all that munching, it’s a good idea for students to look after their oral health. We have toothpaste to suit all tastes, containing loads of natural, mouth-friendly extras such as Aloe Vera, Calendula, Tea Tree, Fennel, Mint and Strawberry, with plenty of fluoride-free options too.

Cleaning Spray

Cleaning Spray

Anyone who’s ever shared a house with other students will know that sometimes it can be like living on a rubbish tip. It’s wise to go round with a good cleaning spray every now and then, to eradicate the very worst of what student life can do to surfaces.

This one isn’t tested on animals, and kills 99.9% of germs – and we have everything a student could need to maintain clean, germ-free lodgings!

Soap

Soap

Dr. Bronner’s make excellent liquid soap which can also be used to wash your hair, do the laundry or mop the floor – truly ideal for any student house.

We offer a cornucopia of natural shower & bath products to clean and pamper even the filthiest student body!

Deodorant

Deodorant

No-one wants to smell armpits in the lecture hall! One of our deodorants will keep young learners fresh and fragrant all day.

Our natural range includes aluminium-free and natural rock crystal options, and there’s even one impregnated with citronella to keep the mosquitoes away!

Washing Powder

Washing Powder

It’s no use making your body smell wonderful if you’re walking around campus in filthy clothes all day. A good washing powder is essential.

Our washing powders have recyclable packaging, aren’t tested on animals and provide effective washing even at 30℃.

Relaxation Spray

Relaxation Spray

After a hard day’s learning, relaxation is very important. This wonderful spray (from our aromatherapy range) fills the room with the natural aromas of tangerine, bergamot, lavender, vetiver, chamomile and ylang ylang – and a quick spritz on the pillow will soothe any student’s head in preparation for a deep, restorative night’s sleep.
