Chocolate Forest Gateau Trifle

This decadent chocolate trifle is so easy to make and tastes divine. This recipe makes 4 individual trifles or you can make one bigger trifle to share if you prefer. For a non-boozy option you can soak the cherries in the cherry juice.

1 - 2 brownies, depending on how many you need to fill the bottom of your serving receptacle

4 pots of chocolate pudding pots (double the quantity if you want a bigger portion)

Creamy Oat 250ml (Oatly)

250ml Oat Cream

Method

  1. Pit your cherries and soak in the cherry liquor (or juice if you are opting to make the non boozy version). Leave them to soak overnight.
  2. Now its time to assemble. First divide the cherries into four portions and layer in your chosen trifle dish.
  3. Place three cookies in each dish on top of the cherries.
  4. Pour over on pot of chocolate soya pudding per dish, use two pots per dish if you want a deeper layer of chocolate pudding.
  5. Whip your oat cream.
  6. Top dishes with whipped cream and fresh fruit.
