Creole Seasoning
- Medium-hot spice.
- Great for use in rice dishes, soups, stews and grills.
- Makes around 40g of seasoning.

1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
Organic Coriander Powder 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
1 Tbsp Ground Coriander
Cayenne Pepper Powder 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
1 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper
Organic Oregano Leaves 30g (Sussex Wholefoods)
1 Tbsp Oregano Leaves
Marjoram Leaves 30g, Organic (Sussex Wholefoods)
1½ tsp Marjoram Leaves
Organic Black Pepper Powder 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
1½ tsp Ground Black Pepper
Organic Chilli Flakes 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
1½ tsp Chilli Flakes
Organic Ginger Powder 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
¾ tsp Ginger Powder
Ground Nutmeg 50g (Hampshire Foods)
⅛ tsp Nutmeg
Method
- Measure out the ingredients into a clean, dry container with a lid. (We used a microwave take-away style container, but any plastic lidded container will do.) Make sure there’s enough room for the ingredients to move around freely.
- Now replace the lid and shake, shake, shake! Using a spoon or funnel, transfer the spice blend into a sterilised* jam jar or other spice container.
- Place in a cool dark cupboard until you are ready to use.
