A natural sweetener that is a good alternative to cane sugar in desserts, tea or coffee.

Method

  1. Heat the orange juice in a pan (but do not boil).
  2. Squeeze in a tbsp or two or agave syrup.
  3. Sprinkle in the agar flakes and stir until dissolved.
  4. Pour the mix into the mould. Take care while doing so, because the mix will be hot. You can increase the amount of agar to get it to set at room temperature, but it’s recommended that you use a heaped tablespoon, and set it in the fridge.
  5. Setting times will depend on the depth of your mould. This jelly balloon dog was left in the fridge overnight and was good to go in the morning.
