Paleo Brownie Balls Snack
- A grain-free snack suitable for a Raw Food and Paleo diet (see below).

- Makes 12-13 snack-sized balls.

80g Pecan Nuts
Medjool Dates 1kg (Healthy Supplies)
120g Medjool Dates, remove stones first!
Organic Ground Almonds (1kg) - Sussex WholeFoods
40g of Ground Almonds
Organic Cacao Powder (1kg) - Sussex WholeFoods
4-5 Tbsp of Cacao Powder
Lucuma Powder, Organic 100g (Superfoodies)
1 Tbsp Lucuma Powder
Maple Syrup, Organic 250ml (Meridian)
2-3 Tbsp of Maple Syrup according to taste
1-2 Tbsp of Unblanched Almond Butter

Method
- Remove the stones from the dates.
- Use a blender to blend the dates, the pecan nuts and half of the maple syrup together. If your blender is not powerful enough, chop the dates and pecans finely and work into a paste using a blender, coffee grinder or similar implement.
- Knead in the almond butter, cacao powder, lucuma, ground almonds, sesame seeds and the rest of the maple syrup by hand.
- Tip: if you are finding it hard to bring the mixture together, add a little coconut oil, orange juice or extra maple syrup to add moisture.
- Roll into balls about 4cm across.
- Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
