Pumpkin Spiced Latte
- A luxury latte with a rich depth of flavour
- Dairy-free, with no cane sugar.
- Uses tinned pumpkin puree.
- Sweetly spiced with a creamy texture.
- Can be enjoyed hot or cold.
- Makes 2 mugfuls.
Barista Oat Drink 1 Litre (Oatly)
500ml-600ml/1 pint Oatly Barista Foamable Drink (or soya equivalent)
100% Pure Pumpkin Puree 425g (American Food Company)
2-3 heaped Tbsp Pumpkin Puree.
Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix 40g, Organic (Steenbergs)
½ tsp - 1 level tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
Pure Bourbon Vanilla Extract 100ml (Littlepod)
1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
Raw British Borage Honey 240g (Ogilvy's)
2 Tbsp of maple syrup or runny honey
Other Ingredients
- ½ cup of good strong coffee, freshly brewed.
Method
- Mix the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, honey/maple syrup, vanilla extract and around 400ml/ ¾ of a pint of the Oatly Foamable together in a milk pan or microwavable bowl/jug.
- Bring to a slow simmer or microwave on high until piping hot.
- Stir in the brewed coffee.
- In a large mixing bowl, pour the remaining Oatly Foamable and whisk, preferably with an electric whisk, until you have created a large volume of foam.
- In two mugs, latte glasses or your chosen vessel, pour out half the spiced pumpkin liquid into each glass, allowing around 2cm/1 inch of space at the top for the foam.
- Then quickly and generously spoon the foam over the top of both drinks. Serve immediately. The foam tops of both finished drinks can be dusted with cacao or even cinnamon, for some extra spice!
