Raspberry Iced Tea
- A classic summer drink with a twist.
- All natural flavours.
- Use as a base for an alcoholic iced-tea.
- Makes enough for 1 person.
Darjeeling Tea, Organic 20 Bag (Hampstead Tea)
1-2 Darjeeling tea-bags
Freeze Dried Raspberry Powder 100g
1-2 Tbsp freeze-dried raspberry powder
Sweet Freedom Fruit Syrup 350g
2-3 Tbsp Sweet Freedom Light Syrup
Other Ingredients
- 250ml of recently boiled, fresh water.
- 100ml of sparkling mineral water.
- Half a lemon.
- Ice-cubes, optional.
Method
- In a heat-proof jug, pour in 250ml of boiling water.
- Add the tea bag(s). [We recommend a stronger infusion here to create a robust flavour base, since the raspberry powder is highly concentrated.] Allow to brew for at least 10 minutes.
- Allow the infusion to cool a little. Then remove the tea-bag(s) before placing in the fridge until completely cool.
- When the liquid is cool remove from the fridge. Slice a circle of lemon, set to one side.
- Then, stir in the raspberry powder, the Sweet Freedom and a squeeze of lemon.
- Stir in the sparkling water gradually. Taste. Add more sweetener or sparkling water as you wish.
- Pour into a pretty glass.
- Garnish with the slice of lemon and enjoy!
