Sunflower Cream Cheese
- This wonderful vegan spread is creamy, delicious and nutritious!
- Spread it on toast, crackers, tortillas, or use as a dip.
- Remember to soak the sunflower seeds overnight (or for at least 6h) before you start preparing the spread.
- Dairy and gluten-free.
Organic Sunflower Seeds 1kg (Sussex Wholefoods)
130g Sunflower Seeds
Barista Oat Drink 1 litre (Oatly)
80ml Oat Drink
Organic Lemon Juice 200ml (Biona)
1tbsp Lemon Juice
Organic Yeast Flakes 250g (Sussex Wholefoods)
1tbsp Yeast Flakes
Organic Garlic Powder 100g (Sussex Wholefoods)
1tbsp Garlic Powder
Fine Pink Himalayan Salt 1kg (Sussex Wholefoods)
0.5tsp Salt
Other Ingredients
- fresh herbs of your choice
Method
- Soak sunflower seeds overnight (or for at least 6 hours).
- Before you drain the sunflower seeds, mix them well using your hands and rub gently to let some skin float to the surface. Remove the skins and rinse your seeds well.
- Place all ingredients (apart from fresh herbs) in a blender and blend until you reach a smooth consistency.
- Add fresh herbs and mix well (or sprinkle with herbs if you prefer).
