Method
- Cover your dates with boiling water and set aside for at least 15 minutes.
- Place oats in a blender or food processor and blend until you get a flour-like texture. Transfer to a big bowl, add cacao powder, salt, spices and protein powder and mix well.
- Place almonds, cashews, hazelnuts and sunflower seeds in a blender or food processor and blend until fine & smooth.
- Drain the water from your dates and keep it in a cup. Place dates in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Combine all 3 mixtures and mix well until it’s not sticky and it’s plasticine-like texture. If it’s too dry, add a little bit of date water. Form the ball and place in the fridge for 20 minutes.
- Wet your fingers and form the balls using about 1tbsp of a mix.
- Roll your balls in your chosen coating – powder, seeds, chopped nuts etc…
- Place in the fridge for 30 minutes then enjoy!
