Buckwud Canadian Maple Syrup 250g (Rowse)
2tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Vanilla Powder Grade A 25g (Sussex Wholefoods)
0.5tsp vanilla powder
Fine Pink Himalayan Salt 1kg (Sussex Wholefoods)
a pinch of salt
Other Ingredients
- 1L filtered water
Method
- Place the oats in a sieve and rinse thoroughly under cold running water. This helps remove excess starch, preventing your oat milk from becoming too slimy.
- Place oats, water, maple syrup and a pinch of salt in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Place a cheesecloth over a jug and pour the mix through the cheesecloth. Squeeze or press gently to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Add vanilla, stir well and place in a fridge for up to 5 days.
- Remember to shake the milk before each use, as homemade oat milk can separate over time.
