Pyramid salts stand out as one of the most captivating natural salts on the planet - a marvel of structure, boasting an extraordinary and charismatic appearance. Delightfully crunchy in texture, these salts offer a pleasantly mild and exquisite taste that virtually melts in your mouth.
Crafted through a distinctive extraction process, our salt pyramids derive their unique shape from the shores of the Indian Ocean. Seawater undergoes concentration into a brine in evaporation basins, harnessing the power of the sun and wind.
As the brine reaches saturation with a 26% salt content, delicate salt crystals emerge on the water's surface, uniting to form small, square pyramids that gracefully "grow".
These are meticulously harvested by seasoned salt artisans using specialized tools and are gathered before reaching a weight that causes them to sink. Following the harvest process, the pyramids then undergo a drying process in specialized houses, powered solely by pure solar energy.
A true fleur de sel encapsulated in pyramid form.
Beyond their visual appeal and intricate structure, pyramid salts excel as a table seasoning. Their mild and exquisite taste makes them an ideal choice for enhancing the flavours of steaks, vegetables, fish, or pasta. With low residual moisture, these salt pyramids are even suitable for use in a salt mill, offering a versatile and elegant addition to your culinary repertoire. Elevate your dining experience with the decorative charm and refined taste of our Pyramid salts.
