Grown by Permata Gayo co-operative, a group of producers in rural northern Sumatra, Indonesia. The Fairtrade premium has been invested in their business and community in the Gayo Highlands, including initiatives to avoid herbicide use and train co-op members.

Wet hulled Gayo-1 (Tim-Tim), Gayo-2 (Bourbon, and Ateng beans give a dark chocolate and cocoa taste with a touch of spiciness and a pleasant juicy acidity at lower roast levels.
