Khorasan otherwise known as Kamut is a variety of wheat. It is an ancient grain grown in Egypt at the time of the pharaohs. What makes kamut special is the nutritional qualities it has over normal wheat. Kamut is very high in protein and offers a good dose of dietary fibre. It also contains lots of vitamins and minerals, including: Selenium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Zinc, Iron and B vitamins.
