Handmade Mince Pies
My baking has always been about joy - you can make special people in your life very happy with some simple, freshly baked cake! When my dad was diagnosed Coeliac, I saw no reason for this to change. That's how Denise's Delicious Gluten Free Bakery came about. Delicious recipes, some from my grandmother, all bursting with flavour and quality - just minus a few troublesome allergens. These fruity mince pies are topped with a beautiful hand cut pastry star and filled with our warmest Christmas wishes!
Shortcrust pastry: gluten free flour (rice starch, maize starch, potato flakes, thickening agent (guar gum), egg powder, glucose syrup, dextrose, acidity regulator (sodium acetate), antioxidant (citric acid); sugar; margarine (vegetable oils (palm, rapeseed), water, salt, flavouring); egg; raising agents (disodium diphosphate, sodium hydrogen carbonate; preservative (potassium sorbate)). mincemeat filling (45%): (sugar, vine fruit (30%) (sultanas, raisins with glazing agent (cotton oil, sunflower oil)), apples (18%), apple puree (9%), water, vegetable suet (palm oil, sunflower oil, rice flour), starch, cut mixed peel (orange peel, glucose-fructose syrup, lemon peel, sugar, acidity regulator (citric acid)), mixed spice (0.5%) (coriander, cassia cinnamon, ginger, cardamon, cloves, fennel, nutmeg), acetic acid, colour (caramel); preservative (potassium sorbate); flavour (cinnamon).
