Simply crush before use and add to stir-fries and marinades.
Szechuan peppercorns are completely unlike normal pepper, and are actually a tiny dried seed-pod with the seed removed. They are best crushed immediately before use and added to stir-fries, particularly meat dishes where a strong "kick" is required.
Also known as "Sichuan pepper", these are used in traditional Chinese dishes where they provide a fiery heat and a lot of flavour.
Directions
Use sechuan peppercorns in in stir-fries or other Chinese-style dishes where a flavoursome heat is required. Best results are achieved by crushing before use.
