Umami is a savoury taste that is described as the "fifth fundamental taste" alongside sweet, sour, bitter and salt. It is best recognised as the basic taste that makes bacon delicious. This umami dressing is a non-meat-based way of adding umami to any meal. Use on salads, meats, stews and curries.
Directions
Shake before use. Add directly to meals, either during the cooking stage or as a condiment. This umami flavouring can be used to pep up curries, stews, soups, salads or even snacks such as cheese on toast! Use as a meat marinade or as a dipping sauce for barbecues.
Other suggestions: rub under the skin of chicken before roasting, to keep the chicken moist and to add flavour. Use to marinate salmon fillets before grilling. Slash chicken thighs and rub this umami sauce in before roasting. Use to marinate pork ribs before slow roasting or barbecueing: the sauce will help the meat to caramelise.
Re-sealable pack. Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 6 weeks. Typically, 7 servings per pack.

Apple balsamic vinegar, grapeseed oil, rice miso (whole brown rice, soybeans, water, sea salt), umeboshi puree (ume plums, sea salt, shiso leaves), water, tomato puree, shiitake mushroom, black pepper.
