The pure fruit powder from the African Baobab Tree [Adansonia digitata] is a useful fruit powder for easily adding both fibre and nutrients to various food and drink. Baobab powder is made from the dried fruit pulp found inside the pods that hang from the tree.
Baobab powder has a sweet flavour similar to a pear with the tang of pineapple and a hint of lemon. It is often mixed with water or milk in its native country to make a refreshing drink. This can be replicated at home with your favourite smoothie or juice ingredients. It works well with Coconut Water as well as Aloe Vera juice.
