Freeze Dried tomato powder is very different from regular tomato powder. It has much more of the original flavour of tomatoes, with a tangy freshness. Freeze Dried tomato powder can be used in place of tomato puree or regular tomatoes in sauces (e.g. spaghetti bolognese). It can also be used to make a tomato soup with a full, refreshing flavour.

Directions

You can mix this tomato powder with water to make a puree, or add it directly into your sauce, casserole or other meal. Why not try these tasty ideas:
  • Mix with boiling water, a few herbs and a little salt/soya sauce for a home-made 'cuppa soup'.
  • Stir a few tablespoons into a dissolved stock cube and pour over ingredients whilst sauteing.
  • For a basic pasta sauce fry off some onions and garlic, add some Italian Mixed Herbs and a few tablespoons of this tomato powder. Try adding a few sliced/chopped olives or capers for extra flavour.
