Dense Cakey Carob Bar with Fruits, Nuts & Spice

Gourmet Raw make their dense cake-like carob bars using raw fruit, vegetables, grains, seeds, nuts and spices. The food is not heated to above 40.5°C in order to preserve all the natural enzymes, vitamins and minerals found within each ingredient.

Taste & Texture

The Marrakesh Express Bar is not so cake-like but more chocolate bar-like. The aroma upon opening the wrapper is similar to Jamaican Ginger Cake or German spiced biscuits. The carob is very subtle and the overall taste is more chocolaty rather than carob. The spices in the bar emerge as the chocolate-like texture melts on your mouth. You can definitely taste ginger and the kick of the cayenne chilli.
