Siberian Ginseng has an array of health benefits depending on how it is consumed and what form it comes in. This is a popular ingredient in a lot of skin care products as it can help with antiaging properties and help to boost collagen. The roots are possibly the best way to consume this particular ginseng, as this is where all of the important nutrients come from and this is the 'rawest', most natural form of this product.

This particular type of ginseng grows in eastern Siberia, China, Korea and Japan. As such it has been a popular health product within these countries for thousands of years. This is also known as eleuthero in these countries.

Siberian ginseng can help boost your energy levels, reduce fatigue and improve your overall wellbeing. It is a fantastic, natural mood booster and it can help to improve your physical endurance as well. This makes it a wonderful, natural option for those that either have a very physical job, attend the gym, or perhaps even for athletes.

Our Siberian ginseng is great alternative to coffee and the roots can be used to make a tea. This product can also be chewed as it is, depending on how you find the taste (though you can also add honey or similar to sweeten the roots) and it is recommended to chew them for 10-15 minutes at a time.

If chewing the roots and making a tea is not suitable, you can also tuck a piece of the root (no bigger than the size of your pinkie nail in length and width) between your molars and cheek until it loses flavour. This will give you a consistent energy boost through your day.

Warning: This product should not be consumed by those with hypertension and arrhythmia, insomnia sufferers, and pregnant women. Not intended for children. Sleep can also be disturbed if this is consumed later in the day.

Directions

As a tea infusion: 1-3 teaspoons of Siberian Ginseng Root (you can also grind this in a coffee grinder), add 200ml boiled water and leave for 10-15 minutes. Then strain. You can enjoy this method up to three times a day.
Chewed or tucked into your cheek: Chew the roots up to 10-15 minutes a day, preferably in the morning. You can add honey if the taste doesn't suit you. Alternatively, you can also tuck a small piece of root between your molar and cheek throughout your morning (no bigger than your pinkie fingernail).
As a cooking spice: Add a couple of roots to simmering broth, soups, and curries for extra flavour. Let it sit for about an hour and then this can be left in or removed when you are finished cooking your meal.
As a facemask: Grind 2-3g of Siberian ginseng root with either a coffee grinder or mortar and add to a bowl. Pour in some boiled water, enough to make this more of a mushed consistency rather than watery. Once warm/room temperature spread over your face and neck and leave for 20-30 minutes before washing this off.
