Ready Ground Mace

  • Blend with other spices to make Garam Masala
  • Add to soups and stews.
Mace is the outer casing of the nutmeg, which is removed, dried and then ground into a powder.

It is often used in savoury dishes alongside other exotic spices such as Cinnamon, Coriander, Allspice, Cloves and Chillies. It can be blended with these spices to make Jamaican Jerk seasoning. Mace also appears in more traditional British recipes such as the meat mix in a pork pie.

You can use this spice to compliment the flavours in a range of warming soups using these types of vegetables: Butternut Squash, Sweet Potato, Pumpkin Soup and Carrot.
