Sushi rice is a form of rice that is designed to be more sticky than normal rice. This is so that the rice can be eaten with chopsticks, and rolled into shapes for making sushi. Sanchi Sushi Rice is a traditional white sushi rice that is suitable for all purposes.
Use for sushi-making. It is a traditional-style rice that works for all sushi purposes.
You can use it in place of normal rice, in typical rice dishes, for extra variety. Sushi rice is pleasantly sticky and absorbs juices, and actually works quite well with curries and as an accompaniment for stir-fries.
Directions
Place rice in a pan with a cover. Add enough water to cover the rice, plus about 1-2cm (about 1.5 cups of water to 1 cup of rice). Bring to the boil and simmer - typically for around 10-15 minutes - until the water has dissipated. For softer rice, use a little more water and simmer for longer.
