About Rice Bran

Rice bran is the outer layer of the rice kernel which contains the important bran and part of the rice germ. This part is what is removed when white rice is made, which is why white rice lacks the same nutrients.

Ener-g rice bran is suitable for anyone who wants to increase their fibre intake. It is also recommended for people who suffer with: Gluten enteropathy, Coeliac disease and Dermatitis Herpetiformis.

How to use Rice Bran:
Rice bran can be added to foods in the same way you might add flour. It can be sprinkled into liquids such as milk or soup or it can be incorporated into baking breads and cakes. It can even be used to make a wholesome batter.

Basic instructions: Use between 1 tea spoon - 2 table spoons to any hot or cold food.
The back of the packet lists several recipes to try including muffins, banana bread and onion soup. Rice bran is very versatile!
