These fine quality almonds originate from the sunny isle of Sicily. They are fuller in size and in flavour than many standard almonds. They have a creamy and sweet taste with a light crunch. These particular organic almonds have been blanched, which means the skin has been removed. As a result, they have less fibre than the unblanched ones.

Almonds can be enjoyed in a whole array of ways. They are perfect for snacking since they contain protein for sustained energy and healthy fats for a quick energy boost. These are also great chopped up into breakfast cereal or with fruit and yoghurt. Almonds are commonly added to dishes like Bakewell Tart, and biscuits such as Italian Biscotti, due to their excellent flavour and texture. And of course, this nut is perfect for homemade marzipan!

These almonds can also be used to make almond milk. This is done by a process of soaking the nuts, blending them and straining off the pulp to leave a subtly sweet milk alternative.
