Reconstitutes to 6g fresh milk kefir grains to prepare initial 600ml milk kefir.

All grains come with activation/care instructions and kefir recipe.
These organic reusable grains are the live culture needed to make milk kefir. The dehydrated grains are small white balls of bacteria and yeast that turn the milk into kefir. Before use, reactive the grains according to packet instructions. Once reconstituted, 1g of dried milk kefir grains turn to 6g of fresh milk kefir grains to prepare 600ml of milk kefir.
Directions
Add milk kefir grains to 100ml milk.
Ferment 24 hrs (20-24°C). After 12 hrs stir gently.
After 24 hrs strain with fine mesh sieve and wash the grains with lukewarm water.
Repeat the first 3 steps 5-7 times. Start using 200ml of milk when grains show activity (souring, thickening). Once the milk ferments into kefir, the grains are ready to use.
