Oat Amazake is a special ingredient with the pleasing texture of a pudding. It is a very simple food made just from cultured rice, water, oats and a little sea salt. The cultured rice converts the carbohydrates from the oats into simple sugars, which make it naturally sweet.

In Japan this paste is often used to make a warming drink, a little like the malted milky drinks found in the UK.
