Lamberts Gentle Vitamin C is designed for those whose stomachs are sensitive to acids. Because Vitamin C is an acid (ascorbic acid), it can cause indigestion if taken in large doses. For this reason, Lamberts Gentle Vitamin C also contains calcium, which neutralises the acid.

Of course, calcium is a nutrient in itself, being required for bone-making. The dose here (77mg) is somewhere between 10% and 20% of the normal calcium RDA (RDA varies according to individual need).

Directions

Take 1 to 6 Lamberts Gentle Vitamin C tablets daily. Tablet disintegrates within 1 hour of ingestion.

Taking more than 1000mg of vitamin C (2 tablets) at a time may still cause stomach upset, even though this is a gentle vitamin C.
