Cubes of Sweet Crystallised Ginger

  • Pieces of sugared ginger.
  • Used in making cakes, jams and mincemeat.
  • Organically grown in China.

Sweetened ginger pieces are used commonly in fruit cake and biscuit recipes. They can also be made into jams and chutney. By sweetening ginger, this makes it more palatable to chew on and many like to suck or chew a cube for medicinal purposes, such as to help relieve nausea or revive the pallet after a meal. These particular ginger pieces are quite hard but still chewy (unlike the confectionery, which is crunchy).

This product does contain sugar. A great tip from one of our customers is to simply soak the ginger in warm water for a few minutes. This gently dissolves the sugar crystals that coat the outside.
