Black Turtle Beans are high in protein, fibre and are an great source of iron, potassium, selenium, molybdenum, thiamine, vitamin B6, and folic acid.

They are shiny and black in colour and have a light brown creamy flesh that has a sweet nutty flavour with similarities to mushroom. They cook between 1 - 1½ hours (much quicker in a pressure cooker).
