These dried red bell peppers can be sprinkled into soups, noodle dishes, curries, casseroles, stir fries, salad dressings and even into bread dough to give that sweet juicy red bell pepper flavour. The red pepper would certainly lend itself to Mediterranean and tomato-based dishes. Do note that bell peppers are not spicy and have a sweet, vegetable taste.
Directions
If you want to rehydrate the peppers, leave them to soak in water for 10-15 minutes to soften before adding them to your dish. You could add the dry red bell pepper directly to rice, pasta or cous cous as it boils and serve together.
