Shan ginger paste has been made using fresh Himalayan ginger. It has a strong, zesty flavour and a thick, fibrous consistency. This pre-prepared ginger paste is a far more convenient way to quickly add ginger to a dish. It prevents the annoyance of grating or chopping the tough root.

This is a high-quality, thick paste that has no water added. This means that you get far more ginger for your money than with cheaper pastes.

Directions

Generally between 1-3 heaped tea-spoonfuls (or 1-2 table spoons) will suit most savoury dishes. If you are using ginger paste for the first time, start with one spoonful and add more if desired.
Once opened, keep refrigerated and use within 3 months.
