Skimmed milk powder is a fantastic cupboard staple, especially if you may not drink fresh milk too often and don't want to be wasteful. It's also great as a backup if you ever do run out of fresh milk and are unable to refill your fridge right away. Or use it when going camping!
Skimmed milk powder is no different to fresh milk, as it contains all the same minerals and vitamins. It is packed full of calcium and protein.
This product can also be used in an array of recipes and dishes, particularly in baking. Add into flour for a creamier taste and texture for recipes such as pancakes and cakes. You can also add skimmed milk powder to your coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and pretty much any other beverage you may wish to. Just ensure that you mix well and that all of the powder has sufficiently dissolved.
Directions
To make 1 litre, gradually whisk 100g of powder into 500ml of lukewarm water and whisk. Then add 500ml of cold water and whisk as well until everything is thoroughly mixed. Once you have your reconstituted milk, please refrigerate it and treat it the same as fresh milk.
Alternatively, mix (to your personal taste) into beverages, like tea and coffee. And add to recipes as directed or as an extra milky, creamy flavour.
