Whole cloves have a warm, sweetly spiced flavour and aroma to them and they are most commonly used in rice dishes, curries, desserts and drinks. It has a similar flavour profile to cinnamon and nutmeg when combined together. Whole cloves are typically used in Indian, Asian and Western cuisine in very versatile ways.
In the west we typically use cloves for pumpkin pie, as a spice for pickling and to make mulled and spiced drinks in the winter. Cloves are a popular ingredient in various Indian recipes, such as curries, teas and desserts. With the strong, aromatic scent of this product you can also use it to make your very own pomander at home.
