Finely Chopped Almonds
Also known as "Nibbed Almonds".
These almonds have been blanched, cut and sieved producing a small to medium 'nib' between 3mm to 5mm. Ready-chopped almonds are a handy cupboard ingredient for last-minute cake making and for garnishing desserts.
For a tasty ice-cream topping, gently toast a few handfuls on a non-stick baking tray under a medium grill for a few minutes. For extra tastiness, before grilling, try sprinkling a few teaspoons of coconut sugar over the almonds and watch them caramelise!
- Organic produce.
- Stir through porridge or yoghurt for added flavour and protein.
- Add to amaretti/biscotti biscuits for a lighter crunch.
- Use as a garnish either toasted or untoasted.
- Use in home made chocolate and truffles.
