The freeze-drying process is ideal for preserving the flavour of fresh herbs. These are as close as you can get to collecting fresh Thyme from the garden in terms of flavour and aroma compared with normal air-dried herbs. The freeze-drying process makes these softer and easier to use than conventional air-dried thyme, which can become tough and will take longer to release its flavour. Use this Freeze Dried Thyme sprinkled directly onto fresh salads and vegetables.
Directions for Use
These freeze dried Thyme leaves are easily reconstituted in cool/tepid water or alternatively add this herb straight into the sautee pan or casserole dish. As long as there is liquid in your recipe then these herbs should absorb enough moisture to soften and release their full flavour.
Blend with Parsley, dried Marjoram, Rosemary and Bay Leaves to make your own Bouquet Garni for flavouring slow cooking and making chicken or vegetable stock. Use to flavour marinades, such as our Barbeque Beef Marinade or sprinkle over fresh stuffed tomatoes and stuffed mushrooms before grilling.
