Ground hazelnuts are an ideal gluten-free ingredient for cakes, biscuits, muffins and pastry.
Hazelnut flour can be used in a similar fashion to ground almonds in many recipes. Substitute up to one third of your usual flour with ground hazelnuts and you should find that their naturally sweet, nutty flavour will add interest to your recipe.
Ground hazelnuts are low in carbohydrates and high in protein. This makes it a useful ingredient for those watching their blood sugar. levels, such as diabetics.
