These walnut halves and pieces, make an attractive addition to a variety of recipes, including the obvious sweet recipes such as cakes, cupcakes and biscuits. The sweet flavour would also be perfect in classic savoury recipes such as the Waldorf Salad and as a base for pesto pasta. In addition to this, the walnuts can be roughly crushed or chopped and sprinkled into soups or onto cheesy bruschetta. Walnuts contain a high level of polyunsaturated fats, including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. In addition to this they contain good levels of minerals such as Magnesium, Manganese, Copper, Selenium and Phosphorus.
