Pumpkin seeds are a fantastic addition to your diet for a multitude of reasons. They are packed full of vitamins, minerals and healthy fats, and their subtle taste makes them quite neutral for adding to both sweet and savoury dishes.
You can add them to your breakfast muesli, top your yogurt or fruit salad, or add to soups and pastas to ensure you get that extra boost of nutrients. As the seeds are flat, they won't sink into yogurts or soups and instead sit perfectly on the top.
These can also be added into bread recipes as they are or ground and mixed into muffins and cakes. Or you can simply enjoy these as a snack on their own! You can also toast them in a skillet or pan, or bake in the oven, to get a fuller, richer flavour. Add your own seasoning and oils of choice to adapt the flavour.
Our British grown pumpkin seeds are a great source of antioxidants and when combined with flaxseeds this can help prevent high cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Add both of these to your other favourite seeds and nuts for a nutritional power house mixture ready for any meal!
